Ability360 – Wheelchair tennis is growing rapidly

Wheelchair tennis is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. That holds true at Ability360, which launched it’s wheelchair tennis program in 2020.

Four-time paralympic athlete (multiple sports, including tennis) Kaitlyn Verfueth, founded the team at Ability360. Her passion for tennis is unmatched, it was the first adaptive sport she played growing up.

“Honestly the only reason I started playing and why I do have such a passion for juniors is you can start playing on your high school team,” Verfueth said. “I started playing because I just wanted to compete in a sport just like my friends, I wanted a lettermans jacket.”

Learning she could play with her peers in high school was monumental for Verfueth, who is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist in wheelchair tennis.

Wheelchair tennis is for everybody, no matter their story.
