Four months ago, a championship was won at Phoenix Raceway by Austin Cindric. The 22-year-old won the race and the championship, solidifying the road course ace as a future star of NASCAR. Cindric returned to victory lane on Saturday with his victory in the Call 811 Before You Dig 200, becoming the first repeat winner of the Xfinity Series.
Cindric led a race-high 199 laps and won a race stage. With the continued points lead, Cindric looks to be the early favorite to repeat as the Xfinity Series champion.
NASCAR weekend at Phoenix Raceway concludes Sunday with the Instacart 500. Coverage begins on FOX at 12 p.m. local time.
