Oklahoma DL Transfer Kori Roberson Commits to ASU

Arizona Sports News online

Arizona State added an experienced player in Kori Roberson to a position of need along the defensive line.

Roberson, who was previously at Oklahoma, has played 26 games in his college career and tallied 26 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks in his first three years with the Sooners.

The defensive line added plenty of talent at the edge, but having more talent and experience on the interior was a priority for the Sun Devils.

“Right now, we need an (offensive lineman). We need a (defensive lineman), interiorly, obviously and we need a linebacker,” ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham said on April 21. “Other than that, if somebody becomes available that’s an elite player, then we obviously have enough room to take those elite players, we’re building in enough room, and hopefully those guys are younger.”

The Sun Devils are checking those off the list as we speak. They added Texas Tech interior offensive lineman Cade Briggs last week and transfer wide receiver Jordyn Tyson was Colorado’s most talented freshman – if not player – on last year’s roster.

It seems as though the Sun Devils’ roster is getting closer and closer to being complete.
