Colorado Transfer Jordyn Tyson Commits to ASU

Former Colorado Buffalo Jordyn Tyson announced his transfer intention to come to Arizona State on Tuesday.

Tyson led the Buffaloes in receiving yards with 470 on 22 catches and four receiving touchdowns.

Against Ariona State last year, he had five catches for 115 yards, a receiving touchdown and a kick return for a touchdown.

The 6-foot-2, 180 pound receiver is another big-time target in a group of pass-catchers that are presumed to be one of the Sun Devils’ biggest strengths.

The Sun Devils return their three leading receivers in Elijhah Badger, Gio Sanders and Jalin Conyers. Troy Omeire, Xavier Guillory, Melquan Stovall and Jake Smith were all transfer additions in the offseason and Javen Jacobs transitioned from wide receiver to more of a hybrid running back role.

Colorado has seen massive roster turnover since Deion Sanders took over. Over 40 players on last year’s roster have entered the transfer portal, including Tyson.

The Sun Devils and Colorado square off on October 7.
