Blistering Suns, Wolfley and Aguano honored, Mad-Bum, more…

Arizona Sports News online

I walked into the arena Tuesday afternoon, and the thought hit. If the Suns didn’t win Game Two a few hours later, it might be Al McCoy’s final game on the radio. No guarantee down 0-2 that McCoy would have another home game in his last season. Fortunately for the Suns and their fans, McCoy will get at least another appearance(and likely more) behind the postseason microphone as the Suns won Tuesday night 123-109. The midrange game by the Suns was the real difference in the win.

This wasn’t a work of beauty, at least early. Four turnovers by the Suns in the opening moments brought back memories to game one. But the stars showed up. Devin Booker made the Clippers pay for drop coverage from their bigs and the decision to double-team Kevin Durant which allowed Booker several great looks.

Booker would finish with 38.
The heavy minutes rolled up by Durant, Booker, and Chris Paul is a part of postseason basketball, HOWEVER, there needs to be something from the bench as the series rolls on.
For one night, all is well, with the series shifting to LA…

Ron Wolfley and Shaun Aguano will be honored as Distinguished Arizonans as part of the National Football Foundation scholar banquet at Wild Horse Pass Resort in Chandler this Saturday at 12:30. Wolf should be in the Cardinals Ring of Honor, and Aguano will one day be a head coach of a college program. Both have done so much on and off the football field for football in the Valley. Well deserved honor…

Nothing with the Cardinals surprises me. Another turmoil-filled offseason. No other way to put it…

Is Wednesday the last day for Madison Bum in a Diamondbacks uniform? Nothing personal; it’s just time to move on. Reunite him with Bruce Bochy in Texas…
