Suns out of sync – Mavericks tie up series

Luka Doncic was a measly 9-25 shooting. Yet, Dallas handled the Suns 111- 101 on Sunday.

Phoenix outrebounded the Mavericks 44-37. Yet, the Suns were never really in Game Four of the playoff series now tied at two games apiece.

Chris Paul played just 23 minutes before fouling out on a couple of tricky/tack fouls, but to be clear, it’s not why the Suns lost the game. Not going down the easy path of blaming officials. Yep, there were bad calls, that’s life. Dallas shot just 1 more free throw than the Suns for the game.

Devin Booker scored a quiet 35 if there is such a thing.

So what was the key to the Mavericks tying up this series? How about hitting twenty 3-point shots on Sunday.

Dorian Finney Smith was the main assassin hitting 8 of 12 behind the arc. Remember when we were talking about the Suns being happy with Doncic scoring 50 after the first couple of games? I believe that they’d be just fine with the Mavericks’ one-man show, but now Dallas believes that they can beat the number one seed with role players becoming more than that.

Game five will be Tuesday night in Downtown Phoenix
