Horizon Huskies 2023 4-star tight end Matthew Klopfenstein made his commitment to the Baylor Bears on Thursday, April 7. The 6-foot-5, 230 pound TE helped lead the Huskies to a 5A State Title last season and will continue to wear green and gold when his day as a Husky comes to an end.

Klopfenstein’s visit to Baylor in late March left a huge impression on him and sealed the deal to make his commitment.
“Everything about it, the facility was nice and the way I was interacting with coaches is what mainly got me,” Klopfenstein said. “They use their tight ends well.”
Matthew had upwards of 20 offers to choose from but landed on the Baylor Bears after visiting on March 24.

Matt made his commitment in the quad at Horizon High School during his lunch break. Many of his teammates, friends and classmates responded to his commitment by saying they weren’t surprised by his decision.
