A Plan to Conquerer Daytona: San Tan Ford Arizona Daytona 500 Preview

Glendale’s Michael McDowell earned his first career NASCAR Cup Series victory one year ago in the most prestigious race in NASCAR, the 2021 Daytona 500. Now, he has the opportunity to become just the fourth driver in the race’s 64-year history to win back-to-back titles. McDowell starts in the 6th position on Sunday to defend his championship.

Meanwhile, Tucson’s Alex Bowman has earned his fifth straight front row start in the Daytona 500 after Wednesday’s qualifying session. The 28-year-old will start second in the 64th running on Sunday after a disappointing Daytona 500 in 2021.
