This Suns team continues to do incredible things.

After beating the Utah Jazz 105-97 on Wednesday night, the fellas are 38-9 and riding an eight game win streak. That’s the best record through 47 games in franchise history.

With the victory, the Suns are on track to win 66 games. The franchise best is 62 (1992-93, 2004-05).

This is on the heels of a Finals run that led to the best calendar year (81-32) in the team’s 54 year history.

Four Suns teams have been near this pace before. All of them stumbled a little bit in the middle of the season due to injuries.

During this winning streak, multiple Suns starters have missed time. Despite DeAndre Ayton and Jae Crowder going down, this team has found ways to win through sheer will and determination. Part of that is due to the moves that General Manager James Jones is making to add depth. That’s why his contract extension was a big move for the franchise.

Some notable performances in the last eight:

  • Booker has five 30 point games and two 40 point performances.
  • Paul has five double-doubles
  • Bismack Biyombo is averaging 13 points and nine rebounds (last six games).

Only time will tell if the 2021-22 Suns will become the best hoops team in the valley. Even if 66 wins is in store at the end of the regular season, a title would be needed to cement that legacy.
