Arizona head football coach Jedd Fisch has posted multiple tweets over the past few days that transfer announcements were coming.

On Monday afternoon, the first – and maybe not the only – announcement came through when former USC linebacker Hunter Echols announced he was heading to Tucson.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound linebacker tallied 50 tackles, four tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He joins a position group that is losing key contributors like Anthony Pandy and Treshaun Heyward.

Echols was a 2017 U.S. Army All-American and a four-star recruit. The Los Angeles native was rated the No. 18 player in California that class.

Echols may not be the only transfer coming in today either. Former UTEP wide receiver Jacob Cowing, a native of Maricopa, is slated to announce his transfer destination Monday with the Wildcats, Oregon, South Carolina, Florida and LSU as his finalists.
