VIDEO- Daryl “Moose” Johnston Analyzes Cardinals 4-0 Start

The Arizona Cardinals (4-0) are feeling the vibes left by the Suns 2021 playoff run. Maybe. Or maybe it’s just what this team is expected to do, because of the group Steve Keim has put together.

Daryl “Moose” Johnston isn’t too surprised by this start, highlighted by a dominant victory over the Los Angeles Rams. However, it still feels like the team is ahead of schedule.

“They’re much further along than I thought they’d be,” Johnston told Brad Cesmat. “This group seems to have a different vibe around it. You mentioned Kyler Murray a little bit, but I think it exists around the entire team.”

Johnston went onto say that the younger guys are starting to lead the team, now that Larry Fitzgerald and Patrick Peterson are gone. You add in new veteran faces like JJ Watt and AJ Green and the recipe seems set up for success. Hot starts are the norm under Kliff Kingsbury, so it remains to be seen how much longer they can keep it rolling.

“Does it mean the style is not sustainable or that it’s just early in the process?” Johnston wonders. “It’s probably more that it’s still early on in the process.”

The Cardinals host the 49ers on Sunday at 1:25 p.m.
