Phoenix Is A Suns Town, Last Night Showed It

There are no doubts that the Suns are the No. 1 sports franchise in Phoenix. When they’re great, the valley is thriving while supporting them in every way possible. As Brad and I discussed this morning on The Brad Cesmat Show.

That includes waiting at Phoenix Sky Harbor to see the team plane land following a sweep of the Denver Nuggets. The players and coaches were met by hundreds of fans as they were driving away from the scene.

The flight was originally supposed to land at 10:29 p.m. but it was delayed an hour. Fans weren’t fazed as the group, @birdgangtravel on Twitter, kept them updated.

I asked a few fans if this could get much crazier if the Suns advance past the WCF, or even win the title? The answer was a resounding “Yes.” Suns players agree, led by Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton living in the hype.

Don’t just look at my videos, check out some others who were there on the ground covering this as well or even just experiencing the moment.

So Phoenix, how are you supporting the Suns? This is one of the busiest sports markets in the country, yet this team is the heart and soul of the fandom for many. For those of us too young to remember seeing great Suns teams, this is something remarkable to witness.

Now, it’s on to the next one.
