It appears that veteran star point guard Chris Paul is heading to Phoenix. After many rumors over the last week, both NBA Insiders Adrian Wojnarowski and Shams Charania reported the move, as the Suns trade appears to be Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Kelly Oubre, Jalen Lecque, and a 2022 first-round pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for the 15-year pro and 10-time all star.

During the 2019-20 season, Paul helped lead OKC to the postseason, averaging 17.6 points per game, five rebounds, and 6.7 assists. He provided veteran leadership and pushed the Thunder much farther in the playoffs than many people expected after the departure of longtime franchise star Russell Westbrook.

In a tenured career, CP3 is a nine-time All Defensive and All-NBA selection, and he was the 2005-06 Rookie Of The Year with New Orleans.

All-time, he has averaged 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists. He is known around the league for being one of the best floor generals and point guards for the better half of the last decade during stints with the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, and the New Orleans Hornets (now the Pelicans).

However, the one thing that has eluded the star in his illustrious career is an NBA Championship. Paul has spoken highly of Suns coach Monty Williams, who coached CP3 in New Orleans. Now reunited in Phoenix, they will look to snap the Suns’ 10-year playoff drought in the Valley along with young talents Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton.
