Brophy’s Jason Jewell & Zac Swanson on Remote Recruiting and Spring Ball

It’s the offseason no one anticipated.

Coaches of all sports in all states have had to get creative with how they prepare their teams in an age of Zoom meetings and social distancing.

It’s an offseason that Jason Jewell believes has forced him to become a better coach. While it’s not what the Brophy head coach expected, he is happy with how the coaching staff and players have responded in his first full offseason with the Broncos.

It’s been a similar case for 2022 defensive lineman Zac Swanson, who has been working out on his own, getting healthy from a few injuries he sustained last season and preparing for a big junior season. He’s also one of the many Broncos who has picked up offers this offseason, including Auburn, Indiana, Cal and Michigan State.

(Editor’s Note: Swanson added offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon between the recording and posting of this interview)

They discuss their busy offseason and the recruitment of some of the Broncos on the latest edition of the Venezia’s Pizzeria Recruiting Roundup.
