ASU Men’s Basketball Adds Historic Commitment

Arizona Sports News online

Did you feel that BOOM just now?

The epicenter came from Tempe as ASU earned a commitment from five-star shooting guard Josh Christopher, the highest-rated commitment in program history. Yes, even higher than James Harden.

Christopher is rated the No. 10 prospect in the 2020 class according to 247Sports.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound guard averaged 29.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game at Bellflower Mayfair High School in California. His older brother Caleb, is currently on the ASU roster.

Christopher pairs with fellow Sun Devil commit Marcus Bagley as the only two top-35 commits in the same class in ASU history.

The commitment instantly positions Bobby Hurley’s program as a contender in the Pac-12. Should Remy Martin and Romello White withdraw their names from the NBA Draft, it could be a historic amount of talent taking the court in Tempe.
