Higley’s Jason Harris Commits to Colorado at Under Armour All-America Game

Since he was a freshman, evaluators spoke of Jason Harris’ potential as a top-flight defensive end.

Over the years, that potential has become concrete talent as he picked up offers from some of the marquee programs in the nation.

As a senior at Higley, that potential flourished into 24 sacks and 26 tackles for loss in just 10 games.

Harris earned an Under Armour All American Game nod and took his next step in his journey at the game, committing to Colorado on Thursday.

Harris was considering the likes of Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Texas A&M, UCLA and Indiana.

The 6’8”, 220-pound defensive end is also coming off a junior season on the basketball court where he averaged 20.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

Jason’s older brother, Jalen, has been a multi-year starter with the Arizona Wildcats and both of his parents played at the university as well.

Harris joins fellow Arizona playmaker and Under Armour All-American Brenden Rice as Colorado 2020 commits. Rice committed in October to the Buffaloes.
