Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (November 5th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

Trey Edmunds with James Connor dinged up? “That’s a week-t0-week situation and Trey Edmunds actually had a better performance than Jaylen Samuels. He had 13 catches. 13 targets in that game because he actually played tight end. There were some issues last season where certain fantasy products actually had him listed as a tight end when he was actually playing running back. This dude’s a really good pass-catcher. Really good. So I don’t know if Trey Edmunds has a ton of value unless you’re trying to handcuff Jaylen Samuels which I don’t necessarily think you need to do because at some point I think James Conner will be back.”

Although he hasn’t been signed, is it worth grabbing Antonio Brown if you have roster space just in case? “I haven’t anything about what the investigation status is with the NFL and Antonio Brown and his off-field messes but, at some point, if the NFL clears him, I’d be picking up Antonio Brown in every league that he’s a free agent because there is going to be interest in him. That’s something that fantasy owners need to watch.”

The Patriots are loaded at wide receiver but is rookie N’Keal Harry worth an add? “In deeper leagues, sure. Tom Brady is throwing him the football so that’s always a good thing but you’ve got Julian Edelman there. You’ve got James White who’s the pass-catching running back–basically a wide receiver in what he does on the field. Muhammed Sanu-that was a big pickup. He had a big game Sunday night against the Ravens. He’s a guy that I said was going to be a red zone threat without Rob Gronkowski there anymore. So he’s a pretty big target. I think that N’Keal Harry is a guy you take and a flier on in a deeper league but I’m not expecting a whole heck of a lot from him this season in terms of being a consistent fantasy contributor.”

From a fantasy perspective, how do you see Josh Gordon fitting in with the Seahawks? “I like the move for Wilson…as if he needs more weapons. It’s good for Russell. Another option in the red zone. It shouldn’t affect Tyler Lockett. But it could affect D.K Metcalf who’s been great these past couple weeks. I mean, this dude is a monster. Josh Gordon is a red zone threat to D.K. so I don’t know if I would play Gordon if he’s active this week. However, overall good move by the Seahawks.”

You wouldn’t expect a letdown game from Lamar Jackson this week against the Bengals, right? “No! The Bengals are terrible. This is a great spot!”
