REPORT: Cardinals Hire Tom Clements as Main Offensive Assistant Coach

Arizona Sports News online

azcentral’s Bob McManaman first reported longtime Green Bay Packers assistant coach Tom Clements will join the Cardinals staff as a key member of the offensive coaching staff. According to McManaman, Clements will be the team’s passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, essentially taking over offensive coordinator duties while Kliff Kingsbury will call plays. Clemens, who began his NFL coaching career in 1997 with the New Orleans Saints, would also be key in gameplanning.

Clements had an 11-year run with the Packers from 2006-16 and has spent the last two seasons out of football. The longtime assistant spent the bulk of his coaching career working with Aaron Rodgers, who has been a mentor to current Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen.
