#ArchiesAdventures — Bradley’s Busy Off-Season

By Perry Cohen

With the start of spring training, Archie Bradley can finally relax.

The Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher, who became a fan favorite during the 2017 season, was a social butterfly in the sports world of the Valley, this offseason.

#ArchiesAdventures, as he calls it on social media, began in early December with the
Arizona Coyotes and continued with a long list of appearances at a different Valley
sporting events such as Arizona State’s Curtain of Distraction, GCU Men’s
Basketball, and Waste Management Phoenix Open, among others.

After battling with inconsistencies on the mound, the D-backs 2011 first-round pick hit
his stride with the fans this last season.

Bradley’s dominate 2017, which was highlighted by a 1.73 earned run average and 79 strikeouts over 73 innings pitched, landed him in MLB Network’s top 10 relief pitchers.

With the addition of pitchers Brad Boxberger and Yoshihisa Hirano, it seems as
though Bradley will stay in the set-up role, a position he’s settled into.

Despite Bradley’s role with the team, he will continue to be a fan favorite.

Bradley  finished his long offseason of adventures at the D-backs spring training
home, Salt River Fields, for the D-backs Fan Fest.
