Every week during the season NFL Network and NFL.com Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano joins Sports360AZ.com’s Brad Cesmat to share his insight on building and developing your fantasy team for success.

Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (October 10th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.

Where are you on David Carr moving forward? “D.C. is going to play this week. I don’t really like the matchup against the Chargers. He would probably be the guy that I’m starting at the end of the QB1’s. His return is certainly good news for the Raiders’ skill position players.”

Which Oakland skill player could benefit the most from Carr’s return? “The one we really need to watch is Amari Cooper because he’s disappeared. His targets are down, he’s dropping passes and since Week 1 he is one of the biggest disappointments in fantasy football. So hopefully D.C. can come in and spark that offense because it really has been less than stellar over the past couple of weeks, including the week that Derek got hurt in that Broncos’ game.”

Speaking of quarterbacks, what about Ben Roethlisberger? “I liked him last week because he was at home and traditionally at home he was tremendous. But it was a shock. If you told be Ben Roethlisberger was going to throw the ball 55 times and throw for over 300 yards I would have taken that all day long. I would have never expected five interceptions, especially because the quarterback he was facing is the more turnover-prone of the two but he’s back on the road this week. Even if Roethlisberger threw five touchdowns last week, I wouldn’t play him against the Chiefs. I just wouldn’t do it. We’ve seen, week in and week out, when he’s on the road his numbers are not good so that’s something that fantasy owners need to keep tabs on. If you’re in a position where Roethlisberger is your QB2, and there’s a hot waiver wire add, I wouldn’t be completely against dropping Roethlisberger. Big Ben has had one good fantasy performance all season long.”

Any idea when we can expect Andrew Luck back? “Well, your guess is as good as mine. It seems like every single week we get a message here, ‘Oh, Andrew Luck’s been declared out. Andrew Luck’s been declared out.’ It seems like he’s getting closer. You would think that at some point in Week 7, Week 8 in that area. But this is something, again, your guess is as good as mine. I have picked him up in leagues where I could use an upgrade at quarterback and I’m stashing him, hoping in the next two or three weeks he’s back on the gridiron because once he is you’d expect him to put up some pretty decent numbers because of the weapons that he has around him.”
