From Ryan Finley to Byron Murphy to Matteo Mele, Chris Petersen has been able to get commitments from top Arizona players over the years. Add Centennial cornerback Dominique Hampton to the list.

The Centennial cornerback, who stands at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, committed to Washington Monday.

The top cornerback in Arizona according to Scout.com had 36 tackles last year and ten passes defended as a junior. He joins Mele as the second Arizona commitment in this class to commit to the Huskies.

Hampton will be a leader on the Coyotes his senior year, along with quarterback Ruben Beltran, running back Zidane Thomas, who committed to Boise State last week. The Coyotes return a lot of talent in the trenches and at the skill positions.

Hampton held ten offers and had a top five of Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State and the Huskies.

This is the seventh Arizona commitment to a Pac-12 program this class.
