Hurley, ASU Land Decorated Early Commit

Arizona Sports News online

Bobby Hurley and his hard-working staff were at it again Friday as talented 2020 shooting guard/wing Kyree Walker pledged his early commitment to play for Arizona State

Widely considered the top freshman prospect in the country, Walker picked the Sun Devils over Arizona, USC, St. John’s and Grand Canyon. He averaged over 21 points, six rebounds and close to four assists last year at Moreau Catholic in Heyward, California before announcing earlier this summer he’d be transferring to Hillcrest Prep here in Phoenix. Per SunDevilSource.com, his dad Kahari Walker, will be an assistant at Hillcrest and his family is already living in the Valley.

Many national analysts feel Walker could be the most decorated prospect to land in Tempe by the time he’s a senior.

The Devils finished 15-18 last year but many believe the program is on the rise under Hurley, who is entering his third year at the school. Landing decorated prospects like Walker and certainly doesn’t hurt.
