Three Dot Thoughts on P.J. Tucker, Archie Bradley, and ASU football

Monday Three Dot Thoughts…

If there’s a better “dirt worker” in Valley sports than P.J. Tucker, I haven’t seen him.
Tuckers lunch-bucket approach is what makes the Suns playoff push easy to root for.
His Superman stretch at the end of the third quarter in last nights win over Oklahoma City summed up his role with this team. Go into the tunnel, change out of a bloodied jersey, stuff some cotton in your nose and get back on the court before the fourth quarter gets started.
I can’t handle cheerleaders in our profession, but watching a guy like Tucker play with so much passion, it’s hard to not want to see him and his teammates rewarded with a playoff spot.
Sunday nights win was as good as any I’ve seen out of the hometown team this season. They have become “must see TV” down the stretch, even against a team like New Orleans this Wednesday…

Thinking the Suns could use a couple of extra seats from next door at the ballpark that aren’t being used…
Why do I have to keep hearing about how Chase Field is too big? This is a topic that has been around the Valley sports scene since Jerry Colangelo exited stage right in 2004.
The focus needs to be on how the product on the field has been a MAJOR flop the first nine game of the season…

Just so you know, Archie Bradley made his Triple-A debut Sunday for the Reno Aces. Five scoreless innings, four hits, 3 K’s. 54 of his 87 pitches were strikes.
Trevor Cahill takes his 0-2 6.30 ERA to the mound in San Francisco tomorrow night. Just so you know…

Nice job by our own Jared Cohen on Saturday night as the play by play radio voice of the Arizona Rattlers. Put him in the main chair and get out of the way…

Mater Dei football is one of the top programs in the nation. So when ASU offered Ben Humphreys over the weekend, I took note.
Humphreys sent out a text that ASU offered him as a wide receiver. Cal, Washington, Wisconsin, and Miami have all recruited him as a linebacker. Humphreys will be senior this coming season.

Looking forward to doing this Wednesdays show from the Arizona Wildcats football offices in Tucson…
