Cahill an “enigma”, Basha looking at Axman, QB/WR package deal for ASU?

$20-million dollars is the amount of money left on Trevor Cahills contract with the Diamondbacks. That’s a lot of cheese to have sitting in the bullpen as a long relief guy. What options does the team have? Keep him in the rotation while Archie Bradley is in Reno? Cahill is an albatross around the neck of the organization sporting a 8.66 ERA in 4 starts.
Owner Ken Kendrick referred to Cahill on my show Friday as “an enigma” . Last time he used that term with me was his infamous rant on Justin Upton and Stephen Drew.
While there was a bit of a fight coming out of the team late in Sundays loss, there was also a lack of focus and effort. Dee Gordon of the Dodgers took second base on Sunday while Randall Delgaldo still had the ball on the mound. How does that happen?
