Three Dot Thoughts…

Steve Nash says that if the Lakers release him this summer(likely)
that he will just retire from the NBA. This is not earth shattering news, but I believe that the Suns should do the right thing and sign Nash to a one day contract so that he can retire as a member of the organization that he is most known to have played for…

Can we please see the college basketball programs in our state close the borders?
Casey Benson(Corona Del Sol) and Dorian Pickens(Pinnacle) both played exceptional basketball in Saturdays Div. 1 title game. Neither one is staying in-state for college. Benson is heading to Oregon, Pickens to Stanford.
Bensons teammate at CDS, Dane Kuiper,
is the top junior. He’s already committed to play college at New Mexico. I love watching his game.
ASU fans will point out that next year Connor McDougall(Corona Del Sol) and Kodi Justice(Dobson) are coming to Tempe. I don’t believe either one is a program changer like Jahii Carson or Nick Johnson proved to be. Good players, yes.
After watching Shadow Mtn. run away with the D2 title, I wouldn’t mind seeing the starting five of the Matadors stay in Arizona at any of the four D1 schools…

With all of the attention given to the NFL pulling the Super Bowl out of our state if SB 1062 had passed last week, Senator John McCain told me on Fridays show that the 2016 College Football title game and the Glendale bid for the Mens College Basketball Final Four in 2017 could’ve left as well. “I heard directly and indirectly that all of these events would’ve been in play”…

One last note on the departure of Arizona Cardinals strength coach John Lott. He is in the process of building a new shower/locker room/weight room in Malawi, Africa. That facility is next to the soccer stadium named after him. He’s taken part in raising funds for thousands of shoes and mosquito nets for the men, women, and children over there. He will be fine…
