Here are some hi-lights from our most recent conversation (November 13th) with the Fantasy Sports Writer’s Association Hall of Famer.
What advice can you give to fantasy owners looking to make a deal or two down the stretch? “One of the most important things that you need to think about right now, because the trade deadlines in fantasy are coming up really quick, is that all this depth I have on my bench is great but man I got to put together the best lineup I can week in and week out for the stretch run and the post-season. So how do you do that? You trade from depth and guys on your bench are not going to help you win fantasy championships. So don’t be afraid to trade two really good players for one phenomenal player.”
Tavon Austin’s big game last week: flash in the pan or big breakthrough? “Tavon Austin’s had one big game. Earlier in the season he had a couple touchdowns in one game but not a lot of yardage. I need to see more. Kellen Clemens is still the quarterback in St. Louis.”
