Suns un-fazed by second game on back-to-backs this season

slider phoenix_sunsWhen you break down the Suns’ wins and losses this season it is not often that there are more wins than losses whether it be home record, road record or just overall record to this point.

However, there is one category where the Suns are well above .500 on the season and seem to be on somewhat of a roll.

After Thursdays 96-94 win over the defending champion Dallas Mavericks, the Suns are 7-4 this season on the second night of a back-to-back. In addition they have now won seven of nine in such games.

Suns Head Coach Alvin Gentry mentioned at the very beginning of the season that with it being a shortened season, he has to be smart with how he handles his team throughout with the back-to-back’s on their schedule. Well he must be doing something right.

In the Suns win over Dallas they snapped an eight game series skid against them which going into the game Thursday, was the longest such streak the Suns had against any team.

Out of the All-Star break the Suns have won four of five. All four have been at home which was a place the Suns struggled during the first half of the season.

They can look to make it five in a row at home when they face the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday from US Airways Center.
